Artists are selected by invitation, through specific calls-for-entry, or via our open call to curators. In addition to its Exhibition Selection Panel, the center has attracted many prominent artists and art professionals who have served as Guest Curators, among them Janine Antoni, Robert Gober, Felix Gonzales-Torres, Thelma Golden, Helen Molesworth, Pepon Osorio, Martin Puryear, Lorna Simpson, and Olga Viso.

Through this vital, exciting, and ever-changing program, visual artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work in a critical context. Area artists and the public are able to view the most current work from the mid-Atlantic region. We are currently accepting curatorial proposals for the 2008/2009 exhibition schedule. Artists that are current members of School 33 will automatically be mailed all call-for-entries. To become a member, click HERE.
